He pulls out a ring and says…maybe not now. With everyone’s eyes on Travis Kelce and The Tortured Poet Society artist’s relationship, one might ask if Taylor Swift is engaged.
In a now-deleted post on Reddit, a user claimed that Taylor and Travis were already engaged. The user’s husband allegedly went to the same high school as Travis and Jason Kelce, and people close to Taylor and Travis were claiming that the two were ready to hit the altar. One person replied to the post, “Honestly for a couple that probably wants to keep some of this private until they are ready for media to know… saying he has no plans to propose is exactly what he’d want to do if he plans to propose if he’s trying to keep the media out of it.”
Are Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Engaged?
Sources close to the couple have told Entertainment Weekly that an engagement is likely coming soon. “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there’s no question about that.”
However, another source told Us Weekly that Travis isn’t planning on proposing to Taylor “anytime soon.” The source said, “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.” They noted that the football player “cares very deeply” about his girlfriend, but “he’s just not there yet.”
Back in January, Page Six reported that the “Love Story” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end has a plan set in motion to get engaged. “Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan,” the insider shared. “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”
However, another source disputed those claims immediately. “Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” the source said. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”
Even though engagement may or may not be in the table for now, Travis Kelce’s mom Donna told CNN that she’s incredibly supportive of whatever they do. “It’s totally up to them, them being happy, we don’t know anything, for right now, I’m sure he would call me up and tell me, and I haven’t heard anything yet. That’s all you want for your children is happiness, nothing else matters.”
