Chasiv Yar is a strongly fortified city located west of the Russian-occupied city of Bakhmut. It has a pre-war population of 12,200 people. Meanwhile, in southern Ukraine, Russian forces fired five missiles at Zaporozhye, resulting in casualties, injuries and damage to buildings and industrial facilities.
