Princess Charlene of Monaco opted for a black-and-white color scheme for her look during the 2024 Monaco E-Prix on Saturday. The royal was joined by members of her family for the event, including her husband, Prince Albert II, and the couple’s children, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.
For the daytime event, Princess Charlene fashioned a look courtesy of Louis Vuitton. The royal wore the Wetsuit Pull Tailored Jacket, which featured a silhouette tapered at the waist and finished with a pointed hemline. The jacket also featured an oversize zipper pulls on the front.
Along with the jacket from the French luxury fashion house, Princess Charlene wore the Technical Jersey Cargo Pant from Louis Vuitton. The egg shell pants featured a loose straight-cut silhouette. Flap pockets were also included on the side and back of the pants. She finished off the ensemble with the Louis Vuitton “Heartbreaker” Black Leather Pumps. The entire look was the ideal combination of sleek event attire and elevated street style.
Princess Charlene has often worn powerful pieces for various royal engagements. Among the royal women in Europe, Princess Charlene often fashions the power suit trend for certain daytime events. On two previous occasions, the royal suited up in Ralph Lauren for the Sainte Devote Rugby Tournament on April 20 and the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament on April 14.
Princess Charlene has kept up with the trend of power suits and power dressing several royal women embrace. Power suits have become a major staple in the wardrobes of such royal women as Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Queen Mary of Denmark and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
With her latest outing, though, Princess Charlene took power dressing and gave it an elegant, edgy street style twist. The black-and-white color palette suited the occasion and Princess Charlene’s style sensibility, evoking a contemporary approach to a royal event.
