On the occasion of the announcement of the iPad Pro with M4 chip and iPad Air with M2 chip, Apple unveiled Apple Pencil Pro, enriched with cutting-edge features that promise to transform the digital drawing and writing experience. One of the most innovative features is the pressure sensor that allows users to “squeeze” the pen to reveal a palette of tools. This allows you to quickly change tools, line weights and colors without interrupting your creative flow. Furthermore, the new integrated gyroscope offers more precision in shape control, making every movement more intuitive and accurate.
The Apple Pencil Pro’s new haptic engine provides a light tactile response when using gestures such as double-tapping or activating smart shapes, improving interaction and the feeling of realism during use. The Apple Pencil Pro pairs, charges, and stores magnetically on the sides of the newly announced iPad Pro and iPad Air models. The latter are equipped with a new magnetic interface which facilitates the use and transport of the accessory. It’s important to note that the Apple Pencil Pro is not compatible with other iPad models.
For the first time, Apple Pencil features support for the Find My application, allowing users to easily locate the accessory if it is lost. This feature is essential for professionals and students who depend on their Apple Pencil daily for work or study. Apple Pencil Pro will be available for 149 euros starting from May 15th. Apple will continue to sell all other versions of the Apple Pencil: the second generation for 149 euros, the Apple Pencil USB-C for 89 euros, and the first generation Apple Pencil for 119 euros.
