SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — Authorities on Thursday announced an arrest in an armed robbery and kidnapping last month in South San Francisco.
The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. on March 15 at a business in the 100 block of Terminal Court, the South San Francisco Police Department said in a news release.
A male suspect brandished a gun, tied up the victims, forced them into a room and stole a “substantial amount of cash,” police said. He was gone by the time officers arrived.
Detectives eventually identified the suspect as a 37-year-old Hayward man, police said.
On Tuesday, detectives served a warrant at the suspect’s home, police said. He was arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on robbery and kidnapping charges.
