Liberty Bible Church: 824 North Calumet Ave — Liberty Bible Church will have “InterGen Sunday” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 26. “InterGen” or Intergenerational Sundays allow parents and children to worship together. Kids ministry for kindergarten through fifth grade will be suspended on InterGen Sundays so kids are able to join their parents in worship. Childcare is provided for ages 0-5. Bethel Lutheran Church: 411 N Montgomery St. — Bethel Lutheran Church will have a banquet at Marquette Park Pavilion from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. May 25 to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The event will begin and conclude with a musical selection by the Anniversary Choir and guest conductor Philip Patterson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who is an alumnus of Bethel Lutheran Church. Bishop Noll Institute: 1519 Hoffman St. — Bishop Noll Institute’s annual fundraiser “The Big Event!” will take place from 6-11 p.m. April 27 at the Bishop Noll fieldhouse. The evening is a 21+ event, and will feature dinner from Pepino’s, entertainment, raffles and silent and live auctions. Tickets are $50 per person and $500 for a big event table of 10. Journey Church: 5460 Belshaw Rd. — There will be a Northwest Indiana Women’s Regional Encounter at Journey Church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27. The event will feature worship and powerful speakers and lunch will be provided. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online https://idag.regfox.com/regional-encounter-2024.

Lowell Church of Christ: 299 Burr St. — Lakeside Artists Academy and Embellished Baroque will have a “Living Classics for Kids” concert for the young and the young at heart. The concert will begin at 11 a.m. May 1 at Lowell Church of Christ. There is no set ticket price, but attendees are asked to pay what they can online or at the door to support the cause. Merrillville

Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine: 5755 Pennsylvania St. — The 15th annual Polish Bikers’ Pilgrimage and Blessing of Motorcycles. A Holy Mass in Polish will begin at noon on May 5, followed by the Blessing of Motorcycles and a picnic on the shrine grounds. Menu items and prices will vary, and food will also be available for purchase in the Millennium Hall. The event will be held rain or shine and motorcyclists who will not be attending Mass but would like their bikes blessed should plan to arrive at the shrine before 1 p.m. and park on the shrine grounds. Founders Square Park: 6300 Main St. — There will be a “Light the Way — Worship in the Park” from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 18. Norma S. Williams, published author and women’s ministry leader, will host the event and will be joined with worship from Valparaiso Baptist Church, Hobart Assembly, The Hope Collective and Living Hope Church.
