Emma Chamberlain put a sultry spin on romantic details at the Met Gala on Monday in New York. The influencer, who returned to helm Vogue’s red carpet coverage of the annual ball, donned a rich brown lace gown featuring a strapless silhouette.
Chamberlain’s custom Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble featured corsetry, lace-up details and a sheer, floor-length train. The social media starlet added on matching opera gloves and platform peep-toe heels, completing her look with a diamond-encrusted collar and matching earrings.
Chamberlain’s dark brunette tresses were swept up into a sleek updo, while her makeup consisted of a dramatic smoky eye and taupe lip liner.
The Chamberlain Coffee founder was styled by Jared Ellner, whose other clients include Sabrina Carpenter, Rachel Sennott and Camila Cabello.
Chamberlain made her first appearance at the Met Gala in 2021, having attended the star-studded fête each year as Vogue’s red carpet correspondent.
The influencer recently collaborated with supermodel Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila on a limited-edition espresso martini kit for her coffee company, which she founded in 2020.
“Working with Kendall and 818 on this was such a blast,” Chamberlain said in a statement. “The whole thing came together naturally because we adore each other and adore espresso martinis with tequila. We played around and ended up creating a unique take on an espresso martini that we know people will love.”
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” nods to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday. The 2024 event is notably co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour.
