This brief is part of a larger research project, Reimagining Reintegration, conducted by IOM Iraq and Social Inquiry. The project’s goal is to investigate the sustainability of returns in 14 districts that host the largest number of returnees in the country. These districts are ranked in descending order of return, including Mosul, Ramadi, Fallujah, Telafar, Tikrit, Hit, Hawiyah, Hamdania, Shirkat, Kirkuk, Baiji, Sinjar, Hanacin and Balad.
The findings presented in this summary were obtained from an original household survey and a list of 2,260 returnee respondents in these districts. Data was collected between March and April 2022 using a household module, a personal module and a list module.
