On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, a dedication ceremony was held in the newly landscaped chapel at Mercer Health. This beautiful space was made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Mark Brown in honor of his parents, Reverend James Brown and Patricia Brown. The ceremony began with Lisa Klenke, executive director, sharing the history and need for the new chapel.
Reverend Brown then gave a dedication, blessing and prayer on behalf of his family before saying, “Our hope is for this beautiful and peaceful space to be a place of calm for those entering the storm.” The chapel at Mercer Health is located near the east entrance to the hospital and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for use by patients and their families.
