They should call him “Silvi-uh-oh” — because Silvio Scaglia is in big trouble, it seems.
On Thursday, a New York judge ordered the Italian business mogul to be arrested and jailed for 20 days after he failed to show up in court, and failed to pay nearly $300,000 to his ex-wife, fashion exec Julia Haart.
Now sources tell Page Six he may have skipped town for Milan. Arrivedirty!
Scaglia and Haart — who is also the star of Netflix show “My Unorthodox Life” — used to be the husband-and-wife honchos behind glam undie brand La Perla, and modeling agency giant Elite World Models.
But they began an outrageously ugly battle in January 2022 when she told him she was leaving him, and he immediately tried to fire her from their biz, apparently in retaliation for the Dear John.
She sued him claiming he couldn’t fire her because she owned half their business — and he accused her of various misdeeds, including stealing money from a bank account and even pinching a company Bentley.
(He never provided proof for any of the claims when the time came to make the case in court.)
Last year, New York State Supreme Court judge Douglas E. Hoffman told Scaglia — who was once listed by Forbes as one of the 1,000 richest people in the world — to cough up $300,000, and send it to Haart’s lawyers by Jan. 11, or he’d be in contempt.
But, according to court papers, the money never showed up.
Then the judge told Scaglia to appear in court in person on June 5 to face the contempt rap. But Scaglia was in the wind when the day arrived.
After Scaglia was missing in action for the Thursday court appearance, Hoffman lost his patience and told the sheriff to nab him.
In his absence, Hoffman he gave Scaglia 20 days in jail without bail, and ordered the seizure of his passport.
Meanwhile, his attorney, Robert Wallack, quit last month, according to court papers, citing “irreparable breakdown of the relationship between [Scaglia] and my firm.”
We were unable to reach Scaglia for comment.
Haart, 53, and Scaglia, 65, married in 2019. He is now engaged to Michelle-Marie Heinemann.
