A heavy thought. Prince William is dealing with a lot amid Kate Middleton’s cancer updates but he’s still managing to be strong for their family. The future King is taking some time to reflect and spend quality time with his wife.

According to sources to People, the Prince of Wales is surrounding himself with”positive vibes” and an “optimistic mood.” The source divulged, “William is staying positive for Kate and the children.”

With King Charles also undergoing cancer treatment, Prince William is keeping his head high. “Whether you’re a prince or a pauper, no one would expect anything like this with his father and his wife both being treated for cancer,” a royal insider says. “William is digging deep.”

William is also not trying to dwell on worst-case scenarios. “Kate is going to get better, and he is all about helping her to get there,” says a source close to the royal household.

A close source also revealed that William is relying heavily on his “nuclear family unit” of his immediate family of five and Kate’s supportive family like his family-in-law Carole and Michael Middleton and her siblings Pippa and James.

The source also said that the Kate Middleton conspiracy theories made him “upset and angry” according to a former staffer, who says that the future king has managed to “compartmentalize it.” After a photoshopping incident on Mother’s Day, the internet went into a frenzy with conspiracy theories about where the Princess of Wales actually is.

Kate Middleton revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer on March 22, 2024, after abdominal surgery. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

She also talked about the impact it had on her family. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.”

She praised her husband William as “a great source of comfort and reassurance”, Kate added: “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
