Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon is conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment to identify the unique health needs and social determinants of area residents. To gather input from residents on the most critical health needs in their communities, public meetings are being held at various locations throughout the region.
These community meetings offer residents the opportunity to share their input directly with health officials and help shape the future of community health initiatives. The purpose of this assessment is to better understand the specific needs of each area and identify ways to effectively address them.
Community meetings will take place at various times and locations, including Tuscola, Sullivan, Newton, Casey, Paris, Vandalia, Mattoon, Charleston, Effingham, Toledo and Shelbyville. Residents can sign up for email updates to stay informed about local news related to this important initiative.
The Community Health Needs Assessment is conducted every three years and gathers data from community service and nonprofit stakeholders, community members and surveys on the Sarah Bush Lincoln website. The survey can be found at surveyemonkei.com/r/2024CHNAST and is anonymous. For more information about the assessment or upcoming community meetings, contact SBL Director of Planning Marsha Halldorsen at 217-258-4169.
