Double trouble? With rumors that Justin and Hailey Bieber are having twins, fans are desperate for more information on whether there could be two Bieber buns in the oven.
Justin and Hailey, who married in 2018, announced they were expecting their first child together in an Instagram post on May 9, 2024. The post, which was shared on both of their accounts, included a video of what looked like a vow renewal as Justin and Hailey reconfirmed their love for each other in front of a pastor on a mountain side. Hailey wore a white dress and a veil-like hood revealing her growing baby bump. The post also featured several other photos from Justin and Hailey’s vow renewal which showed Justin hugging Hailey from behind and holding her stomach.
After their pregnancy announcement, however, Justin’s mother, Patti Mallettte, hinted that the two were expecting twins in a comment on Hailey’s father Stephen Baldwin’s Instagram post congratulating the couple on their pregnancy news. “Love you guys ❤️ blessed beyond words🙏🏼 praise God 👶🏼let’s get ready to have some fun y’all 🎉,” Steven captioned a black-and-white Instagram photo from Justin and Hailey’s vow renewal with the bible verse: “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them” 1 John 4:16
Patti commented on the post, “Congratulations Grandpa!” she wrote. “WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!” After Patti’s comment, many responded asking whether Justin and Hailey were having multiple babies. “is there more than one baby twins,” a user responded. Another wrote, “wait, babies????” One more responded, “hold on, babIES??”
So are Justin and Hailey expecting twins? The answer is no. Patti later clarified herself in another comment, explaining that she wrote “babies” in hopes that Justin and Hailey have another child in the future. “No not twins lol I wish. I just mean in general. Hopefully they will have more than one eventually. They will make beautiful babies whenever they have them. One is enough for now 😂,” she wrote.
A source told TMZ in May 2024 that Hailey was sixth months pregnant at the time of her and Justin’s announcement, which would put her due date at around August 2024. (That also mean that baby Bieber would be a Leo.)
DJ Symon, who hosts Hits 1 LA With Tony Fly & Symon, also claimed on her radio show before Justin and Hailey’s announcement that she heard from a source from Justin’s record label that Hailey was also six months pregnant. “I have major breaking news. A source via Justin Bieber’s record label told me that Hailey Bieber is six months pregnant. Now, this makes a lot of sense. I mean, Hailey, who is always used to strutting her stuff with her tummy out, has been wearing super baggy clothes, baggy jackets, and even at Coachella was really covered up. I cannot wait to see what baby Bieber looks like!” she said in a TikTok video in May 2024.
A source told Us Weekly after Justin and Hailey’s pregnancy announcement that the couple view their baby as a” fresh start” in their relationship. “They are elated and so grateful they are expanding their family,” the insider said. “[They] have gone through hard times recently. This feels like the light at the end of the tunnel.”
The source continued, “It was everything they needed. Hailey is feeling really good. She has been laying low and trying not to overdo it with her work commitments. They decided to renew their vows to embrace a new chapter together. They wanted to renew and restore their faith in God together, and in their relationship. It was a new commitment and a fresh start for them as a family of three.”
