A 29-year-old man allegedly held a woman against her will for two weeks and forced the victim to perform multiple sexual acts throughout Southern California through Saturday, May 25, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials say.
On Saturday, at about 9:23 p.m., the victim contacted deputies to report she was hiding from Lorenzo Isaiah Haynes, 29, of San Diego, in the 3600 block of Riverside Drive in Chino, a sheriff’s news release said Tuesday.
Responding deputies located Haynes’ vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but Haynes fled in his vehicle, and a pursuit ensued, the release said.
A sheriff’s patrol vehicle was involved in a collision with two uninvolved motorists during the pursuit.
The involved deputy was transported to a local hospital with injuries and later released.
Haynes fled the location and led authorities on a vehicle pursuit in Riverside County and into San Diego County, where his vehicle was eventually disabled, and he fled on foot.
Haynes was eventually arrested in Escondido and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of pimping, human trafficking, multiple sex crimes, false imprisonment, kidnapping and evading/resisting arrest resulting in peace officer injury.
Arrest records show Haynes was being held without bail on suspicion of a parole violation.
Anyone with information regarding the investigation was urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at (909) 364-2000.
