Third and final evening of battles this Saturday April 20 on TF 1 in “The Voice”. After the very high level of the previous week, this one experienced ups and downs. Nice moment for example between Mewhy and Okali, two talents from Mika’s team who covered “Là-bas” by Jean-Jacques Goldman. A performance that brought tears to the audience, including other candidates.

When Mewhy was chosen to continue the adventure, he knelt in front of his comrade, saluting all of her elegance and class and reinforcing the floods of tears in the audience. Zazie, when speaking to Nikos Aliagas, noted this clearly: “Look, there are talents that are not good”.

“I have never sung so badly in my life”

Tears also from the young Manon, 18 years old, after singing “Cécile ma fille” by Claude Nougaro. She was facing Adnaé, the naval engineer who works in Mozambique and therefore had to attend the coaching by videoconference. On stage, the two singers struggled with this title which did not suit them very well and the youngest made many rhythm errors and false notes.

“I have never sung so badly in my life,” she exclaimed afterwards, crying. So even if the coaches were lenient – “Manon, you break my heart, because I find you hard on yourself,” Vianney told him – Bigflo and Oli logically decided to continue with Adnaé.

180 degree turn just after. As Mika announced for his team’s final battle: “You saved the best for last! » Two of his most notable talents, Lance Priester and Orange covered “Nights in White Satin” by the Moody Blues. After rehearsals and even before their final performance, the coach assured: “For the first time, in all the years I have done The Voice, I prefer Orange and Lance’s version to the original. »

The candidates on probation are in the audience

Indeed, the duo worked perfectly, even if it is true that the rock side of Orange gave it an advantage. It’s him that Mika chose. For their part, Vianney, Zazie and Bigflo and Oli had the possibility of saving Lance, but this would have forced them to replace another previously saved talent. The suspended candidates were in the public, the pressure from the coaches was even greater.

Despite his talent, Lance Priester must stop there. TF1

“We let Lance go like this? » said Bigflo, very annoyed, in front of his comrades. “Well, go ahead, guys,” Zazie retorted. In the end, no one got wet and indeed, Lance Priester left like that. A somewhat incomprehensible outcome as other qualified talents do not have his level.

The rest of the show was less exciting. Mika and Oli even took the opportunity to write a song text. “Excuse me,” Nikos Aliagas interrupted. Are you writing a song together? » “Yes, he writes a rap for me! » replied the interpreter of “Relax (Take It Easy)” with a big smile. After experiencing an emotional roller coaster, the four talents stolen during the two previous shows – Carla, Julie, Clément and Manuela – remained in the game and will therefore participate in cross battles, duels seeing candidates from different teams compete, starting next Saturday.
