Russian peacekeepers have left Nagorno-Karabakh, because there are no more functions left for them in the region. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, said about it on the air of “First Channel” of Russia.
According to him, this situation was created after Armenia recognized the borders of Azerbaijan.
“It (withdrawal of peacekeepers – TASS) corresponds to the realities that have formed in the region after Armenia recognized Azerbaijan’s borders as of 1991,” the Kremlin representative said.
