Young English striker Cole Palmer etched his name in the history of Chelsea, after scoring 3 goals against Everton within 16 minutes of the first half of the match between the two teams, which takes place on Monday evening.
Palmer, 21 years old, became the first player in Chelsea’s history to score in 7 consecutive matches at Stamford Bridge, as well as the first team player to score more than 20 goals in one season, 5 years ago, when Eden Hazard did it in the 2018-2019 season.
Palmer has scored 24 goals for Chelsea so far, in his first season with the team, including 10 goals in the last 6 matches, and the English striker’s hat-trick was perfect, as he scored the three goals with the head and the right and left foot, in the 13th, 18th and 29th minutes before adding Nicholas Jackson scored the fourth goal in the 44th minute of the first half.
Cole Palmer’s hat-trick led to Chelsea occupying fifth place, as the club whose players have scored the most hat-tricks in the history of the English Premier League, with 30 times, ahead of Tottenham, which has 29 times.
It is noteworthy that Cole Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, for 40 million pounds sterling, with a contract extending until June 2030, with the possibility of extending for an additional season.
