The total value of cash deposits with the UAE Central Bank increased to 15.46 billion dirhams during January 2024, a growth of 4.33% on a monthly basis, or the equivalent of 641.87 million dirhams, compared to 14.82 billion dirhams at the end of December 2023.

On an annual basis, the value of cash deposits increased by 10.19%, or 1.43 billion dirhams, compared to 14.036 billion dirhams at the end of January 2023.

On the other hand, the value of withdrawals from the Central Bank declined by 11.11% on a monthly basis, or the equivalent of 1.86 billion dirhams, to reach 14.91 billion dirhams during January 2024, compared to 16.78 billion dirhams at the end of December 2023.

On an annual basis, the value of withdrawals decreased by 12.22%, or by 2.077 billion dirhams, compared to 16.99 billion dirhams at the end of January 2023.

The value of deposits in paper currency amounted to 15.466 billion dirhams, while the value of deposits in coin reached 5 thousand dirhams, according to statistics issued by the Central Bank of the Emirates.

According to statistics, the value of withdrawals in paper currency amounted to 14.911 billion dirhams, while the value of withdrawals in coins amounted to 5.519 million dirhams.
