Dubai International Airport has been named the most luxurious airport in the world, according to travel experts at the All Clear Travel Insurance website.
In an analysis of more than 1,800 global airports, Dubai International Airport was ranked as the best in the world in terms of luxury experiences. Thanks to its magnificent parks, luxury hotels, swimming pools, cinemas and restaurants, Dubai takes first place.
The classification of airports was based on several criteria, including the number of available passenger lounges, the number of stores in them, and the four- and five-star hotels located nearby.
The website said: “Dubai International Airport witnesses the passage of 90 million passengers annually, and is ranked first as the preferred airport for anyone looking for a luxurious start to transit trips.”
London Heathrow Airport came in second place globally, followed by Hamad International Airport in Qatar in third place.
