Yet another success for Inter, who come from behind 2-1 on the Udinese pitch and are ever closer to winning their twentieth scudetto. Friulian’s initial lead scored by Samardzic was responded to first by Calhanoglu with a penalty and then, in added time, by new substitute Frattesi. The first clear opportunity for Inter comes in the 20th minute, with Calhanoglu who shoots with his right foot from the edge but is saved by Okoye on a dive. The duel between the Turk and the Udinese goalkeeper was repeated ten minutes later, once again with a violent conclusion from Calhanoglu which was defused in a reactive manner.
However, Udinese will find the goal in the 40th minute: a wrong exit by Inter and recovery of the ball by Kamara, with the ball passing first to Pereyra and then to Samardzic, who did well to center from the right and kick, catching the Nerazzurri rearguard unprepared and sealing the 1-0. At the start of the second half Inter started off strong again and after just three minutes they would find the equalizer thanks to a tap in from Carlos Augusto, who pushed a loose ball put into the area by Dimarco into the net but all in an offside position.
Udinese remains in the lead, but only until the 55th minute, with Okoye’s impetuous exit on Thuram which causes a penalty in favor of the Nerazzurri: Calhanoglu made no mistakes from the penalty spot, scoring his tenth goal of the championship. A draw that didn’t satisfy Inter, with Inzaghi raising the center of gravity of his team as the minutes passed, increasing the weight of the attack. Inter siege and Udinese’s low defense, this is the tactical thread of a final match in which the Nerazzurri come out on top: in the fifth of the seven minutes of injury time Lautaro lets loose a long-range shot which is blocked by Okoye on the post and which ends up between feet of Frattesi, free with the goal unguarded to net the final score of 2-1 which secures the three points for Inter and brings the lead in the standings over second-placed Milan back to fourteen.
