He’s close to winning his first basketball championship and he might have a boo to come home to. Jayson Tatum‘s girlfriend has been elusive to the public eye, and little is known about their relationship.

The NBA Eastern Conference Finals MVP talked about what it was like to be the face of the league alongside the greats like Lebron James and Steph Curry. “I feel like it’s mine to take,” Tatum told The New York Times. “I do feel like, if we win a championship, it would be more distinguished and clear. But I understand I’m in that shortlist for sure. I played basketball for free for so long because I truly love it. The money is a plus, and I love being rewarded for what I do.”

Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend is rumored to be famous R&B singer Ella Mai. He has a son Jayson Jr. (nicknamed “Deuce”) who was born in 2017 to an unknown mother.

Jayson Tatum is rumored to be dating Ella Mai. The two allegedly got together in 2020, but haven’t confirmed their relationship.

Ella played coy about her relationship status when she was asked by The Breakfast Club‘s DJ Envy about her affinity towards basketball. “There’s rumors that you’re a Boston Celtics fan,” DJ Envy said. “Oh really?” Mai said.

“They say you’re a Boston Celtics fan and possibly dating a Boston Celtic. Is there any truth to that?” DJ Envy asked.

“I wanna know where you got that information from,” Mai pushed back. “I’m a basketball fan definitely, but you know I’m not one to talk about my dating life.”

The two made their first appearance at Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July White Party in the Hamptons in 2022. They both attended Marcus Smart’s wedding on September 16, 2023, at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California. The couple were singing Mai’s hit song “Boo’d Up” during the reception.

Jayson’s son Deuce also shared a sweet moment with Mai at her concert. She waved at him while singing the hit song.
