Riot Games Condemns Inappropriate Behavior by League of Legends Player – OtakuKart

Riot Games, the publisher of League of Legends, has condemned the actions of Leyan, a player from the League of Legends division of the Invictus Gaming E-Sports Club, labeling his “remarks and morally controversial behavior” as “inappropriate.”

A video circulating on the Chinese social platform Bilibili depicts the player engaging in what appears to be inappropriate behavior with a large stuffed bear during a livestream.

Additionally, user Yuuu alleges that Jue conducted a contest on one stream against another streamer and pledged to vape on-stage during a League of Legends event if he lost, a violation of Riot’s regulations.

In response to the incident, Invictus Gaming, Jue’s team, released a statement acknowledging his inappropriate actions during the livestream. The club stated that they have reprimanded him and decided to dock two months’ salary from player Lu Jue (ID: Leyan).

They also stated their willingness to accept any further penalties determined by the League of Legends Professional Events Disciplinary Management Team.

Jue himself addressed the incident involving the bear on Wiebo on April 21, clarifying (as translated by VGC): “It’s not what people think, the bear was too big, the song was rocking in the headphones. I just simply think the bear is cute, I was hugging it and rocking a little bit.”
