Voice actor Takaaki Seki passed away on April 15 at the age of 54 due to esophageal cancer, as announced by talent agency En-kikaku. He had been undergoing medical treatment for his condition. A funeral was held for close relatives to bid farewell to the beloved actor.

Seki, born on November 5, 1969, in Osaka, Japan, began his journey in the entertainment industry by enrolling in the En Theater Institute in 1995. He later joined Engeki Shūdan En (En Theater Group) in 1997, marking the start of his illustrious career.

Throughout his career, Seki showcased his talent on stage and in live-action dramas, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

Among his notable contributions, Seki’s voice breathed life into various anime characters, including Shutaro Kiba in “Mōryō no Hako,” Zhang Fei in “Sōten Kōro,” Onizuka in “Gallery Fake,” Michimune in “Naze Ikiru: Rennyo Shōnin to Yoshizaki Enjō,” and Mattis in “Ronja the Robber’s Daughter.”
